Вот еще закавыка - не знаю военных терминов. Кто поможет? Не joined the United States Army and attended Infantry Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Upon completion of OCS and commissioning as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Signal Corps, he was assigned to the 142nd Signal Battalion of the 2nd Armored Division at Ft. Hood, Texas. He served as Communications Platoon Leader in the Division Headquarters for one year and then was assigned as Battalion Communications Officer for the 1/78 Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Armored Division. As a 2nd Lieutenant, he filled this Captain’s slot until July 1974 at which time he left the military and went to graduate school.
