мне показалось, что wish to be considered for не так императивно, как, скажем, 'I want to obtain'.

Конечно, надо смотреть в контексте, к кому именно обращается наш эээ челобитчик.

официальная должность, ага.. в смысле штатная? - permanent? full-time? position / appointment? т.е. a stable job?

official position здесь как бы "служебное положение", нет?

у наших работяг с вежливостью и куртуазностью, как правило, не густо :0)

мне official position в сочетании с ООО "Пупкин и сыновья" как-то не очень нра... Чиста типо субъективно :-))
