"...ростки культуры" - "the rudiments of the culture"

Может быть, не стоит вот так, без контекста, лепить, что в голову взбредет? outcropping of culture ... really.

"Everywhere in towns and cities, in remote monasterians which have nor recovered from misfortunes of the last centure, we can see the rudiments of this culture"
Что-то мне эти rudiments очень не нравятся.
"Ее развитию способствуют самые разные люди, побуждаемые одним только желанием - послужить на благо Православия и России".
"Very different people contribute to its development, having only one wish to work for the benefit of Orthodoxy and Russia"
