you can have either, depending on what the entire/whole sentence sounds like: ie, you had an entire year to do it/you had a whole year to do it. |

consider this: you (buggers) have been dragging your feet / sitting on your hands /twiddling your thumbs for a whole year, and now all of a sudden it transpires that... Just to give an edge / put some teeth into, your creative drafting :-) |
