The shaft paddles break the hydrolyzed material by the rotation of the shaft. The material is being sieved by a perforated cylindrical screen and leaves the machine through the discharge chute for further processing. The rubber fingers are moved towards the end of the machine, where they leave the machine through a separate chute.
