(cars) Please, help to translate. What does "-ки" stand for when used in describing automobiles? I have found variations ranging from "4-ки" up to "9-ки." Also please explain numbers such as 7,5 and 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, and TO1, TO2, TO3 when refering to ВАЗ cars. Are they model numbers? Here is one example of its use in a sentence: Thanks in advance. |
Lada models 2104 and 2105, respectively. |
In your example - grades 4 and 5 (5 being the highest grade). TO1, TO2, TO3 stands for техническое обслуживание - first, second, third. 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 could be model numbers, but context is needed to be sure. |
здесь оценки - marks 4s and 5s |
ok, me bad :) |
you're not :-)) shit happens, sumtimes ;-) |
Okay, but that was only one example of usage. Here's are others from an interview with a car dealer, in which I don't think it could mean a grade evaluation: 2.7. Here is does sound more like model numbers. What do any of you think? Thanks. |
Бэкки, you are right, here they mean model numbers. Lada models 2104, 2107, 2105, 2114, 2115, 2113, 2110, Niva. |
Thanks, George1. I think I understand it now. |
