The asameter is a variable space appliance based on the principle of Bernoulli. Essentially the appliance is made of a polysulfone tube with afloat; the tube is conic inside and gauged with very close tolerances. When a fluid passes through the appliance the afloat moves inside the tube and stops at the level corresponding to the flow rate. The values of the flow rates can be read on a scale on the tube.
