What about "Private Business Support Department, Corporate Management and Legal Division"?

...Definitely "division", not "unit", though.. there is a "business unit" - хозяйствующая единица.

"блок" as a business unit should always be translated as "Division". There's too much confusion over business unit names (you know, департамент, управление, отдел, служба, etc.). If you call a "департамент", say, "department", then you can't use the same term for блок, управление, отдел, служба, etc

Если "блок" крупнее отдела, тогда надо давать Business Support Division of the Corporate Governance and Legal Department.

Блок по корпоративным и правовым вопросам занимается управлением регуляторными рисками, осуществляет корпоративное управление сопровождения сделок M&A и защиту инвестиций, а также общее правовое сопровождение. Блок состоит из следующих департаментов:
1. Юридический департамент:
• Договорный отдел;
• Отдел поддержки правовой деятельности;
• Отдел правового обеспечения обслуживания абонентов;
• Проектно­аналитический отдел;
• Судебно-правовой отдел.
2. Департамент корпоративного управления:
• Группа сбора, систематизации и раскрытия информации;

И как его перевести? Туда входят departments and divisions (sections). Может быть, чтобы было созвучно российской реалии, bloc?

Блок = Division
Департамент = Department
Дирекция = Directorate
Управление = Unit
Отдел = Section
Служба = Department/Service (depending on function - a bit tricky if you happen to have Департамент and Служба in the same sentence, I'll grant, but there's always a way around it).

I admit that these are used interchangeably, but there's obviously a need for some fixed translation of these buiness units. I had no complaints from the banks I've translated for.
