Вы не поверите, "быть на первом месте” в МТ “gain the lead” и “stand first on the list". |

Ukraine ranks first |

2 moonlight drive ranks first among

Ukraine has the highest HIV incidence rate/ highest rate of new HIV infections in Central and Eastern Europe Ukraine reports the fastest growing rate of HIV infection in C and E Europe |

Estonia, the Russian Federation, and Ukraine have the highest prevalence rates in the region. Ukraine has the highest adult HIV prevalence of any country in Europe or central Asia |

Incidence vs prevalence Incidence should not be confused with prevalence, which is a measure of the total number of cases of disease in a population rather than the rate of occurrence of new cases. Thus, incidence conveys information about the risk of contracting the disease, whereas prevalence indicates how widespread the disease is. Prevalence is the ratio of the total number of cases to the total population and is more a measure of the burden of the disease on society. Prevalence can also be measured with respect to a specific subgroup of a population (see: denominator data). Incidence is usually more useful than prevalence in understanding the disease etiology: for example, if the incidence rate population of a disease increases, then there is a risk factor that promotes the incidence... и т.д. |
Incidence means the number of new episodes of an illness, injury, or other health-related event that commence during a specified period of time in a specified population. Incidence is therefore customarily expressed as a rate. Prevalence means the total number of health-related states or events that exist in a specified population at a particular point in time, regardless of when these began or how long they have existed. Because a "point" has no dimensions, it is illogical to allude to a prevalence "rate." |
