Subject: Аналоги пословиц о хлебе на английском

Уважаемые форумчане!

Надеюсь на Вашу помощь или совет:

Статья на перевод на англ. В ней очень много пословиц о хлебе. Некоторым нашла аналог, остальным - нет. Хлебную тематику нужно соблюсти.

Вот они:

ХЛЕБ ВСЕМУ ГОЛОВА - BREAD IS THE STAFF OF LIFE
Без хлеба нет и обеда - There is no dinner without bread?
Хлеб-соль ешь, а правду режь - This is bread and this is salt, and now be kind to speak your mind? (не гуглится совсем)
Хлеб да живот и без денег живет - ?
Хлеб везде хорош — и у нас, и за морем - ?
Хлеб-соль кушай, а добрых людей слушай - ?
Хлеб хлебу брат - ?
Думай не думай, а лучше хлеба не придумаешь - ?

I don't think there are English analogies for these... I s'pose you'll just have to translate them. Just try and make the translations snap and clear - No.3 doesn't read well at all.

No.1 - bread is the stUff of life
No.2 - I s'pose a better version would be, "bread makes (good) dinner"
