Производство т. н. формование волокон химических обычно заключается в продавливании раствора или расплава полимера через отверстия фильеры в среду, которая вызывает затвердевание образовавшихся тонких волокон. Такой средой при формовании из расплавов служит холодный воздух, из растворов - горячий воздух "сухой" способ или специальный раствор, т. н. осадительная ванна "мокрый" способ.
