idiom. ужас (the idiom comes from the popular folk story "Chicken Little" in which an acorn falls on the central character's head and he goes around telling everybody the "sky is falling in". He attracts a large band of concerned followers until they meet a wise predator (fox or similar) who eats them up. The moral being not to get caught up in hysterical panics.
