Riyaku n
relig. Benefits, commonly referred to honorifically as go-riyaku. "Genze riyaku' specifies 'this-worldly benefits" (as against e.g. salvation after death). Go-riyaku may include spiritual power and protection gained from kami or Buddhas by religious practices such as prayer, or may mean the specific beneficial functions performed by a particular kami.
