relig. китман (kitman is practiced when a Muslim is not telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Often, kitman results in a gross distortion of the truth. A common form of kitman is to quote only the few peaceful passages from the Quran, knowing full-well that those passages were later abrogated by a more militant, contradictory verse. Here is an example: a Muslim say to non-Muslims that in Islam "There is no c o m p u l s i o n in religion" (Surah 2:256, Early Medina), while knowing fully well that this verse was abrogated by "Are they seeking a religion other than Allah's, when every soul in the heavens and earth has submitted to Him, willingly or by c o m p u l s i o n?" (Surah 3:83, Later Medina) Alex_Odeychuk)
