| Нач. отдела снабжения был бы head of procurement. Со словом acquisition нужна особая осторожность. Например, Federal Acquisition Regulations - это Положения о контрактной деятельности США. Слово Acquisition в таком контексте означает дословно "приобретение проекта". |
| Начальник отдела снабжения (закупок) - один из вариантов. Есть и другая опция. Если компания, куда он пришел работать, занималась расширением своего бизнеса и приобретала дополнительные производственные мощности и т.п. (активы других компаний), этот человек вполне мог стать начальником отдела по развитию (расширению) бизнеса (или что-то в этом роде) - и занимался собственно приобретением компаний/заводов/whatever(вел переговоры, следил за оформлением сделки и т.п.) и их дальнейшей интеграцией в структуру компании, куда он нанялся. Хорошо бы проверить. Потому что для закупок более распространенными, как мне встречалось, являются термины procurement или purchasing. |
| snail, yes, on some level, u r absolutely right, but, as i said, hard as u may try, u will not find heads of procurment/purchasing in any of the fortune 500 or NYSE listed companies. they just dont use these terms, again, i have got no clue as to why, this is just the way it is. if it were a bank, or a financial services firm, i would have no compunction about offering отдел слияний и поглощений, but somehow it does not seem suitable to a steel company, which, even if involved in an agressive merger&acquisition spree, would not do all the dirty work itself, but let a bank underwrite it. so, отдел закупок would be my fist choice, but your suggestion, отдел расширения бизнеса, merits careful scrutiny indeed. hugs |
| to Talgat: accepting everything you have said, a mere comment on the side - I just sit in one of those Fortune 500 as well as NYSE listed - and ...it is Purchasing (at a lower level) which becomes part of the Supply Organization (closer to the top of the "stairs"):)) |
