Makeup gas, from CCR platforming unit, is dried to protect the catalyst. There are two gas dryiers. The driers are operated up flow, in series and regenerated in the same manner as the liquid feed driers. The dried hydrogen is then sent to the reactor circuit on flow control. The hydrogen is also used for blanketing and pressure control in the feed surge drum and, for starl up, in the stabilizer.
