IMHO 1. Customs with similar characteristics are grouped into a particular group (class) 2. Within one group (class level) the bank can specify customers' preferences available for the particular group (class). 3. When an account is opened under a specific class (as opposed to Sentence 1, when customers are classified later, on basis of attributes), all preferences set for that class level will automatically become default preferences for said account. |

| I think they mean to say that when you open an account under a specific class from the start, not get class classification afterwords, then all the preferences (characteristics, benefits, etc.) of that class will automatically be the preferences for that account. |
