there is a risk of penalties. Also we may see/we may even see the contract/the contract may even/well be repudiated/voided/cancelled

contracts are anuled or terminated, not cancelled (in most cases this is what they use anyhow)

Можно сказать: we may/are likely to incur penalties?

We are likely to incur penalties which may result in the termination of the contract?

There's no such thing as "anule". Neither there is such thing as "muel".

A contract may be cancelled btw

i said muel somewhere? and there is such a thing as a muel by the way. its a cross between a donkey and a horse and is sterile. :)

and i meant annuled

and i know that they can be cancelled, just usually you see the term terminated

 Levitan

For the avoidance of doubt, contracts may be both cancelled, repudiated,d rescinded, voided, avoide and terminated.

Read Law Dictionaries.

***heh heh... sorry for my rushed state***

***ok, i made a mistake.
i can admit it. i am a stubborn muel. you will all have to excuse me.

***Why so many niks? I am probably just insane***

i think you must have been hurrying when you read my post to you, as i said in parantheses "in most cases this is what they use anyhow"

i am aware you can use all the words you listed but i was only saying that they most commonly use terminate.

i am not trying to start a fight. i think you just must have missed what i was trying to say. no problem.

im not in the mood to agrue
i was only saying that to say that a contract will no longer be valid they normally use the word terminate
and this is ridiculous
all this hype over one comment which i have repeatedly clarified.
good night.

Nina,

Just for your information. Разрыв договора/отказ от договора в одностороннем порядке (repudiation) implies that one of the parties is no longer willing to be a party to the contract and is terminating the contract unilaterally, i.e. repudiating (in the cases when it is entitles to repudiation).

 V
