Subject: Ждем, когда нам что-нибудь умное скажет
Please can someone help me with this? Is there a set phrase:

сказать что-то умное

or does this sound as odd in russian as it does if you translate it into English?

Thanks.

say something clever??

it's not a set phrase

Set phrase definition:
an expression whose meanings cannot be inferred from the
meanings of the words that make it up [syn: idiom, idiomatic
expression, phrasal idiom)

A common phrase whose words cannot be replaced by synonymous words without losing some meaning.
