should be "anaphylactic", for sure

I don't think he has the reaction right now. It is also doubtful that he received sulfa and penicillin simultaneously. Probably you wanted to say "had a reaction"? I would say so. Then it will be:

У Гэйла Шерера были анафилактические реакции на сульфаниламиды и пенициллин.

or:

Гэйл Шерер перенес анафилактические реакции на сульфаниламиды и пенициллин.

If what you meant by saying that was not specifically "anaphylactic reaction" but just being allergic to these compounds, simply say:

У Гэйла Шерера аллергия на сульфаниламиды и пенициллин.
