The 1st stage separator is a three phase separator, 2nd stage separator consists of a preseparator along with an electrostatic dehydration unit and 3rd stage separator is named as buffer tank is a two phase separator. There are three trains available for 1st stage and 2nd stage separators. Actually three 12’’ production headers , which are coming from RB (riser block), enter three parallel 1st stage separators. The 3rd stage separator i.e. buffer tank is having only two trains. The liquid oil from all the three 2nd stage separators comes to header and then distributed to two buffer tank.
