we call it "extra strong tea (to the point of being too bitter to drink)" you can say what is in parantheses or leave it out, but since most english speakers dont know what it is, i would use it (and i like it! its all bitter and strange!:)) |

gogolesque be aware that many Russians believe this stuff is specifically used by prison inmates (because they are deprived of other intoxicating agents). |

Анатолий Д i know what it is used for, but who cares, it tastes good. honestly, i cant drink it b/c i dont like the tea high thing, but bitter foods and drinks, i love them. i am that weirdo who leaves the tea bag in the cup until the end and then savors the bitter tea you get with the last couple of sips. :) |

gogolesque Are u sure that your co-workers are drinking CHEFIR? It's not something, like you put two or tree tea bags in one cup. It's approximately half kg of tea in one small cup (cup for turkish coffee), and you should boil it not less then 15-20 minutes. I hope formula is correct:))))But this is what i heard about how they are doing it in prison. |

never had it with sugar. i actually almost never add sugar to anything. but i know some people drink it with sugar. |

Гоголеск! Передайте Вашим сослуживцам рецепт настоящего чифиря: Взять цибик индийского чая в/с, 50 г, залить 350-400 мл холодной воды, медленно довести до кипения и варить, пока чаинки не побелеют. Отцедить через старый носок и подавать к столу в грязных алюминиевых кружках. 50 мл такого напитка валит с ног и порождает видения. Это Вашим сослуживцам и не снилось! |

| 2 10-4: You are really something! Точно подмечено, особенно отцеживание через старый носок. Алюминиевые кружки выглядят старыми, потому что в них-то чифирь и варят! После регулярного приёма сиего напитка человек становится угрюмым, агрессивным, а кожа его лица принимает оттенок того же напитка. |
