Прошу вашей помощи. Меня просто заклинило на фразе " when your access is required by law". Она переводиться как "если ваш доступ к ней (защищенной законом информации о здоровье) требуется по закону/обеспечен законом?

Теперь по теме: я не стал бы писать "обеспечен". Зачем додумывать? Уж лучше "предусмотрен".

Мне кажется, это немного устаревшее правило, когда во многих штатах пациент мог получить результаты анализов только от врача, а лаборатории не были обязаны предоставить напрямую пациенту. Но если не ошибаюсь, уже 2 года действует федеральный закон, обязывающий выдавать по требованию пациента.
