I'm not sure what 'broken' means here. 'broken' here suggests that the bags have been damaged by accident. Does the author mean 'punctured [by the digger/sampling scoop in order to collect a sample from inside each bag]?' What exactly is happening during this 'breaking' procedure? 'After broken' at 9:18 isn't English. Does it mean 'After the bags were broken'? I suspect that 'to break' is the wrong verb here. The word order in this sentence is also strange: normally it would be written 'sampling was performed by the sampling scoop at the rate of ......'. 'at the rate of one increment of each bag material pile' is also jumbled English -- so the meaning isn't clear. All of the above suggests that the English at 9:18 has been written by by s.o. with a limited knowledge of written English. Who's written it? Or is it a poor translation into English? |
