Subject: Checks written out of sequence or to cash Перевожу на русский банковский договор. Не совсем понимаю смысл одной фразы, касающейся мер предосторожности при работе с чеками. niccolo has the sense of it. Normally cheques † are 'written out to' a person or organisation you want to pay, eg: "Pay: Mr Brian Smith" or "Pay: London Trading Co Ltd" However, you can withdraw cash for yourself or for your own company from the account the cheque book relates to, by writing: "Pay: CASH" on the cheque rather than the name of a person or organisation.
