1)was holding his sides, puffing and panting for breath, (The lord of the manor was holding his sides, puffing and panting for breath, sweat pouring down his face. )
2)dance a hole right through the stone (Jack, but I’ll bet you couldn’t dance on that stone from sunset to sunrise, and I'll bet you couldn't dance a hole right through the stone, so that I could see the ground underneath. You’re a good dancer Jack, but I don’t think you’re that good)
3)that'd be just dandy ("Yeh, that'd be just dandy, plenty of room there for the Frankhams and the Smiths, and our horses and dogs, and everything")
4)and on the little portable anvil he took round to horse fairs, he beat himself up a pair of horseshoes, nailed them on the bottom of his boots, and clomped back to the party, climbed upon the stone and waited for the sun to go down.
5)Jack started to step it out (As the sun sank behind the trees the musician started to play and Jack started to step it out)
6) Step it away (Step it away you pretty boy,
Step it away in time,
Gawd bless your body,
When your legs keep time.)
7) fell into the ditches (the old ladies fell into the ditches, legs up the air, fast asleep.)
8)The lord and lady were seen crawling under a wagon before collapsing.
9) very good they got at it, too. (They hitched Jack's old mare up to the wagon, and the lord and lady climbed up, and they set off through the villages of Kent, telling fortunes, fixing pots and pans—and very good they got at it, too. )
