Overall it's badly-written, so 'transport unit packages' may be badly-written as well. Containers are sometimes called 'transport units'/'transportation units', so could it mean 'packages to go into containers', I wonder? The next bit should read: • Weight (tons) 24.00 Decimals are always written with a full-stop(.) in English, not a comma(,) , hence they're referred to as 'decimal points'. 'Mt' is the wrong abbreviation for 'metre(s)' (UK)/'meter(s)' (US); it should be just 'm'. |

.... and it's 'subject to' here, not 'subjected to'. |
johnstephenson, you are right, the whole document is badly written. All the way I guess rather than translate :) |
Смотрим словарь и видим в нем «грузовое место» |
Генеральный груз не забываем использовать наравне со словами «тяжеловес» и «длинномер» |
Overall в данном случае переводится словом «наибольший» |

When I said 'Overall it's badly-written' I meant that the English in general was badly-written; I wasn't referring to the word 'overall' which appears in the text. |
**metres**.... I hate inches and feet, but I love to write "meters" :) |
I hate shilling and tuppence and guinea I hate yard and furlong and mile Ненавижу пуды и полушки И возбешиавет мя верста |
[smile] |
tumanov, спасибо за «грузовое место» |
