Subject: School Director, Principal & Board - как лучше перевести на русский? gen. Всем добрый день!
У меня возникла такая трудность. Я перевожу с английского текст, что-то вроде устава школы-колледжа, и там встречаются названия разных должностей, которым мне сложно найти соответствие в русском языке.
Например, Director. Я не уверена, что это можно передать как "директор". При этом ещё встречаются слова Principal и Vice Principal. Либо первое перевести как "директор", и второе как "руководитель структурного подразделения", либо первое как "руководитель структурного подразделения", второе как "ректор"?.. Пребываю в нерешительности.Кроме того, не уверена относительно того, как перевести сочетание "Board Members". "Члены совета"/ "Члены совета Школы"/ "Члены попечительского совета"?..
Нижу привожу отрывки с каждым из проблемных слов, чтобы было понятнее.
1) "School Director":
* The Director shall establish procedures that shall ensure the proper privacy of information and/or the protection of the School’s integrity. Some documents and records kept by the School need to be confidential to ensure appropriate privacy of the individuals involved. Access to student and personnel records and some financial accounts are confidential and restricted to authorized persons only. Parents and teachers may access their child’s records through the Director or his/her designee.
* The complaint procedure starts when a community member makes a formal complaint to the Director.
*The Director shall convene and chair a hearing within 10 school days after receiving the complaint.
*A senior supervisor (Vice Principal, Principal or Director) or designee must give prior approval for activities beyond those regularly scheduled
2) Vice Principal, Principal:

*Parents shall be encouraged to express constructive concerns, ideas and suggestions about academic, personal or organizational matters through the appropriate channels: the teachers, VicePrincipals or Principals.
3) Board:
*The Board recognizes the importance of open communication with the Company members. The Director shall be responsible for keeping the School Community informed of Board decisions. The Director shall also ensure that relevant Board documents are available to the School Community.
*Parents are also encouraged to attend open meetings of the Board. All Regular Board meetings and Special Board meetings are open to the members of the Company, the School Community and to guests who may be invited by the Board. Parents other than non-voting liaisons may observe meetings but not participate in discussions unless the Board specifically requests them to. If, during a regular meeting the Board votes to go into Closed Session, the public will be excluded from that part of the meeting.
