Evaluate instrumentation of unproven performance in high purity samples using the procedure above. Thereafter, use calibration resistors with +/- 0.1% tolerance in place of the measuring cell and temperature compensator. The conductivity check resistance in ohms equals the cell constant divided by the conductivity to be indicated. Resistivity check resistance equals the cell constant times the resistivity to be indicated. The temperature compensator resistance as defined by the manufcacturer must simulate a sample temperature of 25C, the reference temperature, that eliminates any compensation in order to follow the relationships given above.
