All noise values outside piping indicated in the noise data sheet only apply for the selected wall thickness under freefield conditions. This values outside process piping can be significantly affected by the pipe routing and pipe wall thickness and any effects from sound reflections and sound exposures (immisions) from other sound sources. For example: In case of reflecting terminations at pipe tail and head pieces, the emitted sound pressure outside piping can be significantly uprated.
