- Laboratory Approval that will require sampling to Х according to instruction given to supplier before to start this step and will include:
o A preliminary assessment of Raw Material production capability trough evaluation of compliance of material to Specification with an adequate sampling. Samples shipped by supplier should be representative of a material targeted on central values of properties listed on production specification deviation from target value should not more than 50% of tolerances.
o A full assessment of Raw Material Characteristic including advanced test developed to characterize fillers even if not included in specification.
Х will communicate during Homologation to supplier any kind of advanced test used to asses Material and results of this assessment
o Evaluation of Х Property Compounds characteristics using material proposed.
Х will communicate in an appropriate way results of this evaluation but not
Property Formulation.

- Factory approval that includes
o Evaluation of 3 different lots on SELECTED PRODUCTION COMPOUNDS. This requires sampling to Х according to instruction given to supplier before to start this step. Samples shipped by supplier should be representative of a material targeted on central values of properties listed on production specification deviation from target value should not more than 50% of tolerances.
o Evaluation of every important step of industrial process including packaging, handling of material, documentation.
The compliance of the material to the requirements laid down by the tyre manufacturing process (indicated by the general term “processability”) is an integrant part of approval procedure. Possible processability problems connected with the use of the material, even if not strictly leading back to analytical properties, may condition the approval of material.
