Наличие/отсутствие, а взвешенное значение по покрытию не учитывалась, т. е. одинаковый вес принимался для всех видов. Imagine being in an airplane looking down on an area. For each type (species) of plant that you find, draw a line from the outermost part of the leaves of each plant of a species straight to the ground encircling each plant (like this http://www.ilmb.gov.bc.ca/risc/pubs/teec… ). You can also outling a groups of the same species, such as an area of grass, or a clump of trees of the same species. Now add all those areas together for the same species, and divide the area for each species by the total area of the place of interest. That would be the percent coverage for that species.
