A diplexer within this assembly separates the input signal into a 10 MHz reference signal and the 950 MHz to 1700 MHz L-Band signal. The reference signal is sent to a synthesiser within the Up-Converter Assembly. The L-Band signal enters the high gain Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) and Medium Power Amplifier (MPA) stages that boost the RF power level sufficient for the transmission through the Up-Converter Assembly.
