It was a major task to manufacture such large rating Transformer with multi winding arrangement
and complicated lead connections. TV winding, HV winding and Fine windings were made separately in different winding machines. Two coarse winding, C1+C2 were made combined on same winding machine. Similarly other three coarse winding C3+C4+C5 were made. This was to ensure compactness of regulating winding assembly. While winding assembly, blocks were identified and provision was made to position the fiber probes. CTC winding were sized and processed as per practiced industrial norms and supplier’s recommendation for curing. For ensuring dimensional stability, iso-static pressing was adopted. Voltage clearance matrix specified by design was maintained during manufacturing for lead takeout and connections. Major work was taken up for providing proper paper insulation around copper leads.
