Subject: one day at a time
Добрый день!

помогите плз перевести следующее выражение:

one day at a time

в контексте "что-то происходит спонтанно"
может "одним днем"?

well, i am not sure there is a russian equivalent.
but it means we are going to take our time, do it slowly, take the situation as it comes,....

does that help?

one day at a time - буквально "на подневной основе", "по одному дню за раз", т.е. от дня ко дню

Странно, что такой вариант не катит. Выражение One thing at a time значит "делать по одной вещи за один раз", то есть, "всему свое время".
