Subject: White Smoke vs. Multiran, in terms of style gen.
I used to work with the White Smoke program. However, many of my friends are talking me into trying Multiran.

My question: which program is better in terms of correcting and perfecting the style of English?

Thanks for your opinion.

why don't you try it and see for yourself. although i doubt MT would be of any use in "perfecting the style of English". it has a different purpose, MT that is.

Please do not confuse it with MultiTran.

Thank you for information about the White Smoke.
Looks, is may be very useful:

Multitran is the English-Russian dictionary, not the grammar corrector.
(Or I may not be avare about full spectrum of the MT functionality?)

I am sorry for the confusion. MultiTran, of course.

I believe WS is aimed at correcting a text already drafted in English. Formally, it has all the functions MT does. I am not sure WS is good in tech translations, though. I used to write in English, and the writing is mostly about politics, socio-economic issues, history, stuff like that.

I would love to hear from people having experience of using the White Smoke and MT. I assume both programs would be useful. But it is just an assumption.
Thanks!
