A Journal Devoted to the Physics and Chemistry of Interfaces
Surface Science deals with fundamental experimental and theoretical studies in the physics and chemistry of surfaces and interfaces. It covers topics contributing to a better understanding of basic phenomena occurring on surfaces; the word "surface" being interpreted to include all interfaces between solids, liquids, polymers, biomaterials, nanostructures, soft matter, gases and/or vacuum.
The journal will occasionally publish Special Issues with selected invited papers presented at small conferences, workshops or individual symposia, and Topical Issues with invited papers on a selected topic.
