Subject: Unlimited category
Небольшая информация к размышлению о рекордах в авиации
The new records, set in the Unlimited and Turboprop categories, were both previously unclaimed and are for speed over a recognised course.

The Unlimited category is the most difficult, featuring complex flying maneuvers that test the precision flying skill and physical endurance of the pilots.

In 1968, when the U.S. National Aerobatic Championships was sponsored by the Aerobatic Club of America, multiple categories were introduced in the rules. Primary, Advanced and Unlimited categories were the names used then. In 1970, IAC introduced the category system we know today including Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced and Unlimited.

Вот оригинальный текст:

Raf Lyneham, U.K. - A combined Royal Air Force/Lockheed Martin flight crew, flying a production-standard, unmodified C-130J-30 Hercules transport, set two world aeronautical records today as the Royal Air Force's newest aircraft was delivered to its operating base here. The records, set in the Unlimited and Class C-1.M, Turboprop categories, were both previously unclaimed and are for speed over a recognised course from Atlanta, Ga., (Dobbins ARB) to Swindon, Wiltshire, U.K. (RAF Lyneham). The transatlantic flight was made nonstop and unrefueled.

А вот редкая цитата с объяснением:
Your flight will have to be properly monitored and controlled. Determine with your NAC who will serve as Official Observer(s). If the flight is a 'speed over a recognised course' record between 2 airports, each with a control tower, the tower personnel are entitled to certify the times of start and finish.

Что-то вроде скорость по контролируемому курсу, по одобренному маршруту
