Subject: Non-Custom Item (IT) gen.
Перевожу письмо по поводу, какие ингредиенты разрешены к использованию в изготовлении тортилья в Росси, и никак не могу придумать как перевести ‘creatively’ interpreting the rules. Ниже приведен кусок письма
Спасибо заранее!!

.The Russian sanitary regulations include tables indicating which ingredients can be used in what products and in what quantity. However, because tortillas are a new product here, it is not clear what group they fall into and thus it is unclear which ingredients we are expressly allowed to use. For instance, fumaric acid is listed as approved for use in pastry fillings, though the regulations do not indicate whether or not it is prohibited in other products. We are exceeding the norms for some of these ingredients in some of our products and recognize that we are ‘creatively’ interpreting the rules (yes, even in Russia I would likely have a hard time arguing that tortillas qualify as a pastry) – we are doing this unfortunately because so far we have not been able so far to come up with a formulation without the ‘gray area’ ingredients that works well.
