Subject: сметет с ладони I've been listening to "Кони привередливые" by Высоцкий and I don't understand this line:Сгину я меня пушинкой ураган сметет с ладони Seems to be some kind of imagery that is entirely unclear to me. Any thoughts? |

Сгину я = пропаду, погибну ураган сметет меня, как пушинку с ладони или в чём проблема? |

а ну-ка песню нам пропой весолий раптор (почти (с) @21.27 - это не устойчивое выражение, авторская метафора, поэтому и не слышали. хотя на "сметёт с ладони", мне кажется, Высоцкий будет первой ассоциацией (в группе 30+ точно) |

well, it's my first:)), English being the second (alas!). you are on the right track, listen to the original. You see those translations of poetry always lack something. It's a tough nut to crack. I know 'cause I used to translate Vyssotsky myself. My version of "Fastidious Horses" is not ready yet....need to overwrite\revise it, like, 10 times more. |
