Just a little comment: Intake is a noun; therefore, it is not grammatically correct say capability to intake water |
| Конечно, take in грамматически правильнее, но в профессиональном языке такие "неправильности" очень часты, они указывают на специфическое действие. |

Or could it be that such “grammatical irregularities" are written by engineers who are notorious for their blatant disregard for everything grammarians hold dear? No disrespect for engineers (I hold an engineering degree myself) - just a life-long observation. |
