Subject: Про only
Напомните, пжл.

The subject search has revealed the pending application which belongs to your Client.

Если я хочу сказать, что только эту заявку и нашел, то only можно после revealed поставить? Или the only application? Потому что если в конец ставить, то получается, что только Вашему клиенту.

?

"Only" goes next to the word it modifies. “The standard is based only on data from one source.”
The same rule applies to primarily, largely, principally, mainly, partly, and completely.

10-4 прав. ONLY usually goes in mid position but if it refers to the subject it comes before it.

В Вашем случае,ТМ, ласкает ухо следующее:
The subject search has ONLY revealed the pending application which belongs to your Client

Могу предложить вариант:
The subject search has revealed a single reference - your Client's pending application

I vote for 10-4's suggestions. Little Mo's version, although "caresses the ear," slightly changes the meaning of the Russian phrase to "the search only revealed, but expected that it would do something else, like confirm, outline, emphasize, etc." Just like 10-4 says, "only" needs to cling to the word it defines. Although, yes, in spoken language, Little Mo's suggestion is OK.

I would suggest changing the sentence, like Wallflower did, just to be clear.
