"Charged off" is when what you owe is taken off the record, so to speak, because you are refusing to pay and your creditor figured out that it would cost more than the amount of the debt to go after you. Usually, if a debt is charged off, a collection agency would be notified, which impacts your credit standing. What you want here is "debited," not "charged off." |
