Перевод на английский.У нас было исследование: проводился конкурс сочинений общероссийского характера, там были задействованы в основном школьники из разных точек России, разные совершенно по национальности. Им задавался вопрос, что значит быть русским сегодня. Не смотря на то, что они принадлежали биологически к другой нации, тем не менее, они определяли себя как русских. Именно по факту того, что они проживают на территории России, говорят на русском языке, и их родственники говорят на русском языке. Поэтому такой национальной разобщенности внутри самой молодежи нет. We had a survey: we had a contest of school essays of the general Russia scale. Schoolchildren from various towns of Russia participated in this contest. These were completely different nationalities. They were asked what it means to be a Russian today. Despite the fact that they belonged biologically to another nation, nevertheless, they determined themselves as Russians. It was because of the fact that they live on the territory of the Russian Federation, they speak the Russian language, and their relatives speak the Russian language. That is why there is no ethnic segregation within the framework of the youth itself. |

I'd put the first two sentences this way: We have conducted a social survey which included an essay contest - high school students of all nationalities from all across the country were asked what did it mean "to be a Russian" to them. |

| Сам вопрос сформулирован не совсем корректно. Лучше: "Что для Вас значит быть россиянином.?" Просто для иностранца представитель любого нацменьшинства, проживающий в России будет Рашн. |

| "Nationality" means something different in English: it means "гражданство". Since the surveyed probably all Russian nationals (living in Russia, attending Russian schools, etc.), I think what you want is "ethnic origin," as in "the participants of the survey lived in different parts of Russia and were of different ethnic origins." |
