Distribution standards for DAB were established more than 10 years ago. The Encapsulated DAB Interfaces (EDI) specification has been adopted by the DAB community; it is basically a single directional link between the multiplexer and the transmitter. There is also a Service Transport Interface (STI) which links studios to the multiplexer with different stations feeding content through the STI which distributes it.
