Subject: to bite the biscuit slang Пожалуйста, помогите разобраться с этимологией выражения to bite the biscuit. Контекста, к сожалению, нет, но это эвфемизм, имеющий значение "умереть". (есть версия, что это по аналогии с to bite the dust, но я не уверена).Заранее спасибо! |
