| 2 d: I think, "failure to contact the customer" means they just didn't even try to contact the customer as in "забыли, бывает". But the Russian original describes the situation when they actually tried to contact the customer, but there was no response. So, they did not fail to contact the customer, but their contact attempt failed. |
