Subject: Free software for Translation Project Management - YOUR IDEAS? softw. Люди, подскажите какой-нибудь бесплатный софт для управления проектами переводов? Задача такая - есть тексты на какую-то тему, они постоянно обновляются, и к этим текстам перевод на 15 языках. Сейчас довольно сложно с этими текстами управляться, приходится все вести в Excele (ну, в Open Office), не очень удобно, не видно, где какая часть текста на каком языке поменялась, где еще требует перемены, термины нестабильны, даже прокручивать неудобно. Редактировать тексты в один формат очень сложно.Есть ли продукты, которые кто-нибудь использует для управления многоязычными проектами по переводам? Желательно бесплатный софт, ну или хотя бы за сумму в пределах 100 долларов. |

What you need is not a project management SW, it's rather a content management system (CMS). I haven't used any free applications, but a web search can give you some ideas (e.g., http://woork.blogspot.com/2008/11/10-free-powerful-content-management.html). I don't know what type of content you are managing, but I would assume that most systems out there are geared to processing multilingual web content. But it shouldn't matter too much for your purpose. This open source app, for example, seems to have Localization functionality http://www.cmswire.com/cms/web-cms/quick-take-review-umbraco-web-content-management-system-004296.php Multi-Lingual Support Umbraco ships with 15 languages for a localized back office user interface (UI). You can also add additional language if required. The Umbraco UI text is stored in an XML file. This enables you to take a copy of the file and translate it for a new language. Once done, the language is automatically available. Current languages include: English, French, Spanish (with variants), Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Greek. There is a menu item on the Content Menu to Send to Translation. You must have a user assigned to the Translator role for this to work. This will send an email to the Translator. Good luck! |
