A parent company incorporates ( or "creates", which I don't like one bit :-) a (wholly owned) subsidiary. It therefore becomes known as the founder (sometimes, depending on the context, a/the "founding member") of that sub. It HOLDS (the entirety of the issued) shares IN that sub. |
