Subject: инженер по транспорту - как обозвать должность?
речь идет о парне который будет отвечать за парк автомобилей из пары-другой микроавтобусов. Mechanic - как-то не то, ибо должность руководящая. Fleet - как-то громко наверное. а просто тупо transport engineer - совесть не позволяет.

NC1 - maintenace мне тут тоже кажется ключевым словом. за ночь пришел в голову вариант vehicle maintenance supervisor. так и оставлю)

Мне активно не нравится. Особенно с учетом того, что в Америке существует выражение "rolling stock", означающее железнодорожный подвижной состав.

Да, хорошее слово.
Обозначает прихват дутых авторитетов, похожих на флюсы. Типа в английской грамматике понимают, автоматом и 32 фуэте закрутят лекко.

Superintendent's Job Description

Report to: President

Supervises: Subcontractors, Suppliers, Service Providers, Employees as designated

Works directly with: Company’s Clients

Basic Function:

Plan, organize, direct and control the building aspects of the company and jobs in such a way as to meet company objectives of costs, quality, time and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Hire and Train

a) Hires needed personnel

b) Oversees the coordination of personnel

c) Establishes and implements a new hire orientation process.

2. Participates in establishing company objectives

a) Participates in establishing goals and objectives for the construction area

b) Gain buy-in on company objectives from subordinates

3. Planning

a) Participates in the pre-job planning process

b) Participates in establishing goals and objectives for the field operations of the company

c) Oversees planning and use of company resources

d) Assures the planning process is followed

e) Prepares job descriptions for subordinates

f) Coordinates and plans with Clients

4. Organizing

a) Oversees the organization of the field

b) Sees that administration of the jobs is effective and efficient

c) Sees that the field is well organized

d) Makes recommendations for organizational changes

e) Helping with Client demand such as access or storage space.

5. Directing

a) Trouble shoots difficult construction problems

b) Establishes ways to motivate and keep personnel / subcontractors / suppliers and service providers’ morale at a high level

c) Reviews subordinates periodically and makes recommendations for improvements and wage adjustments

d) Gives directions to subordinate managers

6. Controlling

a) Sees that construction cost targets are met

b) Helps establishes strategies and action plans to beat the budget.

c) Establishes action plans and oversees such plans as to achieve our goals

d) Makes sure job cost feedback is furnished to subordinates.

e) Oversees the terms and conditions of construction agreements

f) Oversees job schedules and makes sure that they are updated and reported

g) Keeps Client’s satisfied, but not at the substantial detriment to the company.

The President will grade superintendent’s performance on each factor of the above. He will use a 0 -100% scale. The resulting cumulative average will be multiplied by the total maximum incentive pay per completed project. The resulting will be the bonus earned by the superintendent. It will be paid 30 days after completion of punch list and closing of project, which ever is later. If superintendent leaves the employ of the company before this date of any project, then incentive pay is not due.
